Outreach donations. We would like to enable as many people as possible to attend the conference. Unfortunately, there are countries where colleagues are unable to obtain funding from the usual sources, and the IAML Outreach Fund on its own cannot meet the demand. These colleagues always make a great contribution to the conference, so you are invited to make a donation to help them attend. Donors are acknowledged in the official conference program. If you are able to make a donation, however small, please add one or more “Donation” tickets to your cart, when you’re ordering your Registration fee. Thank you in advance.

Travel grants. The submission of grants applications has been closed on 31st March 2016.
All applicants have already received a communication about their request. If you didn’t received it, please contact us.

Applications for travel grants are invited only from colleagues (music librarians or working in a music library, archive or documentation centre), coming from economically disadvantaged countries whose institutions cannot fund them or who have sought funding elsewhere without success.

Applications will be selected by a committee formed by members of the Congress scientific and organizing committees. The amount of each grant will be decided by the committee and will be based on the number of the applications accepted and upon an itemized estimate of all of the applicant’s meeting-related expenses.
According to the amount granted, the successful applicant will receive a partial funding covering one or some of these costs: the full congress fee; travel expenses or a part of them, accommodation expenses or a part of them, part of the subsistence costs.
If you are successful in obtaining IAML support, IAML would thank you to write a report about the situation of music libraries in your region to be added to the IAML webpage and a short report to be included in the conference diaries. IAML also will be grateful if you publish a report of the conference in a relevant journal in your own country.

The applicant have to create her/his account on the website, filling out all personal information fields, including address and contacts. Applications must include:

  • personal information and contact details of the applicant as those as necessary to register to the congress; 
  • a complete curriculum vitae specifying eventual publications, projects, employments in which she/he has been involved; 
  • the amount requested for travel from the country of origin to Rome based on a cheap flight rate (accommodation and subsistence costs will be determined by the grant committee on the basis of local hotel and restaurant rates); 
  • the indication if she/he had applied for funding from other organizations in her/his own country; if the request was successful and what elements of the costs will be eventually covered by those funding (travel, accommodation, conference fee, subsistence).
